Since 1940, the Christmas Bureau has been providing holiday meals (and joy) to Edmontonians in need.
Rooted in community and compassion, our organization is connected to over 100 social service agencies, community partnerships, and 800+ volunteers to bring together these Christmas-giving programs: our Food Hamper Program and the Adopt-A-Teen Program.
We believe it is greater than one meal and that one act of kindness can impact someone for a lifetime - and it starts with people like you.
From marketplaces, crafting, festivals, and concerts, there’s no shortage of opportunities when getting involved with the CBE community. Operational all year long, our organization always has something fun and exciting planned.
Whether it’s your 1st time or 50th time volunteering with our organization, there is something for everyone.
The Christmas Bureau has formally adopted the Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement. The Code has important elements that articulate values, guiding principles and organizational standards for volunteer programs in non-profit and volunteer sector organizations. Proud member of the following organizations: Volunteer Canada, Volunteer Alberta, and the Edmonton Chamber of Volunteer Organizations.
